Send In Your Recommendations!

Don’t Forget! Recommendation Day is on the 14th, so between now and then, send in the books you think I should add to my TBR for next month. So far, every winner has been killer, so I’m excited to see what you guys suggest! Remember to check my Ultimate Reading List to be sure I haven’t read it already.

Every recommendation sent in will be tallied, and whichever gets the most suggestions will be the book added to my TBR. If they all receive the same number of recommendations, they’ll be put into a random draw. Can’t wait to hear from you!

First of all, happy birthday, Sarah! <3 I'd like to recommend Astrid the Unstoppable by Maria Parr a beautiful middle grade book perfect for the autumn & winter. If you like classics such as Pippi L, Heidi, Little Women, Daddy Long Legs or William books, you'll probably like this one :-)

Thank you so much! I’ll add it to the list!

I recommend Mr. Penumbra’s 24 Hour Bookstore by Robin Sloan! It’s a bit sci fi (which it sounds like you’re not super into, sorry), but it’s a nice light read that I found to be enchanting and a bit like the Night Circus.

That’s cool! I don’t mind a bit of sci-fi here and there. I’ve read some good sci-fi this year. Thanks for the rec!

Basically whole Wheel of Time! It has a tremendously large world-building, alongside with many interesting philosophies! There are tons of strong female characters and females in power.

I’ve heard a lot about this recently! Sounds like a massive undertaking though, lol.

Thank You to everyone who participated in Recommendation Day!! I was thrilled to receive your recommendations, and without further ado, I will select the book I will add to my December TBR (though of course, your other recommendations will also be added to my general TBR).

The Results:

And the winner is …

A POCKETFUL OF CROWS by Joanne Harris

As the only recommendation this month, it’s the automatic winner! I’m intrigued by the premise though, and I love that the summary references one of the Child Ballads.

Thank you for participating, and see you next month!

I’m gonna rec for you A Pocketful of Crows by Joanne M Harris. It’s a wonderful novella based in folklore and the writing is gorgeous. I read it last year and it’s a wonderful wintery read!

Oh, thank you! I don’t think I’ve heard of it, but I’ll be interested to check it out!
